Marco Tiberio is a typological photographer and visual researcher based in Amsterdam. His main interest is to understand how human beings react to the changes in society and how they interact with it and the world they live in. Through photography he wants to find new ways of investigating topics in order to make them more accessible to a broader public and give them new interpretations.

Marco started Index Tiberii, a photographic archive about Europe and its cultural heritage. The goal of the archive is to integrate a shared European cultural heritage via keeping memory of the social challenges Europe has been facing. He aims to achieve this through a combination of historical projects based on archives and new ones.

In 2020 he has been a recipient of the Stimuleringsfonds to develop a photographic project about how society deals with memories of migrations and colonies during and after WW2.

Marco has been a guest teacher at the Academy of Architecture of Amsterdam.
