A new website for Amsterdam's institutional bridge to crypto-native venture capital.
Theta Capital manages Theta Blockchain Ventures — a multi-vintage fund program that gives institutional investors diversified exposure to specialist blockchain venture firms. With over $660M raised across six closed vintages and a thesis centred on blockchain as long-term economic infrastructure, the firm needed a digital presence that matched the clarity, rigour, and institutional weight of its investor audience — not the hype of the wider crypto sector.
The project was a full rebrand and website rebuild: a shift from legacy messaging to an editorial, institutional tone, paired with a web platform designed to communicate strategy, portfolio depth, and track record to sophisticated LPs.
The situation
We treated the site as a measured, long-form surface — closer to an investor report than a marketing page. Typography, pacing, and hierarchy were used to carry credibility, letting the firm's thesis and fund structure speak for themselves. Content was structured around the firm's core narrative (blockchain as durable infrastructure) and the practical needs of an LP audience: fund history, vintage performance, portfolio shape, and thesis.
My role – Web Design & Tech Lead
I led the project on both the technical and design sides. On design, I supervised the designer responsible for the rebrand of the website — reviewing direction, giving feedback on typography, layout, and hierarchy, and making sure the visual work held up against the firm's positioning. On tech, I owned everything around the build and launch: frontend architecture, CMS setup, the custom component system, performance, accessibility, analytics configuration, and the full go-live. The goal was a site that read as institutional from the first scroll, and that Theta's team could maintain and extend without friction.
